Project Lead The Way Donations

In 1996, Weaver launched an innovative pilot program called Music Intelligence Neural Development, or MIND. The program has proven to be extremely successful and has since been rolled out across the district as part of the elementary school’s core curriculum.

This year, we’d like to focus your attention on a new pilot program- Project Lead the Way. Thanks to your support of Friends of Weaver last year, we are able to purchase the computers needed to fully staff the program for multiple grades, allowing for the full launch of the new program this year.

Weaver is the first elementary school in the district to implement this exciting new STEAM program that provides a hands-on approach to solving real-world problems. In addition, Friends of Weaver funds a teacher on Special Assignment in the Media Center to teach and implement this program across multiple grades.

Neither the programming (materials, software, etc.), nor the teacher are funded by the school district or the state.  As a result, to allow our children to pursue some exceptional programming, we need your help in providing the significant funding to make this program a success.

Our request is simple – we’d like each family to consider donating $100 per child to help us make this program a success.  Your donations will drive the innovation we all want for our children.

Provide support today by making a tax-deductible donation using the payment method easiest for you:

  1. Donate online using a credit card
  2. Pay by check: Complete the form, make a check made payable to “Friends of Weaver,” and return it to the FOW box in the office.

Your child will directly benefit from your donation!
